What We Believe
It is easy to sum up what the people of Northwest Hills believe. We believe what the Bible teaches. The Bible is the inerrant Word of God. It is His letter to the world and to each individual. It is His instruction manual for His church.
We follow no denominational manual or man-made creed. As a proud Southern Baptist Church we work with sister Baptist churches around the state, nation and world to accomplish the Great Commission. Together as Baptists we support our seminaries, children’s homes and assisted living centers; we start churches, provide evangelistic events in communities and send missionaries to the ends of the earth, targeting every people group, tribe and tongue.
Baptist’s have agreed upon a summary of generally held beliefs, called the Baptist Faith and Message. From time to time the wording of that document is updated and modified. The last revision was in 2000 when an additional section was added about marriage and family.
Northwest Hills Baptist Church beliefs are adequately summarized in both the 1967 and the 2000 Baptist Faith and Message documents. You will also find a detailed summary of our doctrinal beliefs spelled out in our own Church Constitution and Bylaws.
To state it as succinctly as possible - We believe people need the Lord!
